Leadership - Bringing order out of chaos!

Daniel shares his leadership lessons and insights in today's CEO Conversations podcast.

He was raised in Northern Vermont near the Canadian border. He came from a large family of 7 brothers and 5 sisters. He's a Vietnam veteran who served in the United States Navy. Then started his business as a business consultant for over 20 years working in land use planning and natural resource management.

In 1994 he had a new assignment and moved to Colorado springs.

In early 1997 after a trip with a friend in Afghanistan he launched Morningstar Development. That began a work to help the people and the nation of Afghanistan to put their lives back together. It's a non profit, NGO, that's privately funded.

20 years at Morningstar shaped his leadership mantra of bring order out of chaos he sensed a new season approaching in 2015. That began an intentional transition of his leadership to a new CEO.

Daniel teaches and models "success without succession is not success at all."

CEO Challenge:

"It’s so important to have good quality mentors in your life, so if you are a leader and you are out there in that position as a CEO, it’s a very lonely place to be, so I would really encourage you to get involved in a group of like-minded guys and have men in your life that can speak truth into your life, and you can speak truth into their life, iron sharpening iron. Don’t do it alone!”
